What should be "basic grammar" is a turn off to some people, no matter the gender. As a teacher of the English language, I do frown upon the misuse of to, too, and two. Some have a problem with singular and plural forms (ie woman not women). Don't get me started on "ratchet vs wretched" either... (Sound it out, people! LOL... IJS.)

This has nothing to do with the topic but I just have to ask.Yes can any one tell me WHY! is it when you become a paid member on these dating site, and you find one that sounds good so you write a few lines but you here nothing back. And they say if you write to me I will reply. But nothing, why are they on the sites? It's funny when I pay I get no mail, but when my time runs out I get all kinds of mail. Then I can't read any of it until I pay again. I really don't get it. My thing is just say something even if it's kiss ## ###. I took the time to say a few words. I don't think that's to much to ask for. Am I alone on this. Or may be you can give me some points. HELP!!

Grammar, as I have come to find out is not the biggest problem on this site. Just as others have noted, it is mostly dishonesty and a lot of window shopping or experiments being carried out. Fortunately, I do read good stories too, so there is hope for singles on this site.

Why do women Judge Men?? and not, just accept them for who they are??? It has been said that life is the most patient teacher. You will be presented with the same experience over and over until you learn the best way to deal with the situation.. This is not because life is cruel. Rather, it is because things have a way of coming back to haunt us when we don't deal with them. One form of intelligence is the ability to learn from mistakes. When you are presented with a painful experience, take the time to think about how you can avoid it in the future. This is an example of a lesson learned.

Although this video is about an important topic, it doesn't really help people understand how to write a good profile, or how writing reflects a person's ability to understand and organize thought. What, how and how much a guy writes in his profile is very important to me, since good writing shows good comprehension of language, as well as good critical thinking skills. It's also somewhat of an indication (although not an infallible one) of a person's ability to express what he feels in difficult situations, rather than lashing out in frustration, or shutting down communication. Someone who reads a lot, thinks a lot, and values knowledge is more likely to be good at writing than someone who doesn't. As long as he's also emotionally healthy, and has picked up good social skills along the way, the end result is usually someone who is much more likely to have the conflict resolution skills necessary to navigate the ups and downs of a long-term relationship.

I agree. The problem I've come across has more to do with dishonesty rather than with someone's literacy or issues with their profile. I've gotten to know someone from the site for several months or so I thought. He was literally my dream guy, I was falling for him hook line and sinker... until his wife called me to ask the nature of our relationship. Luckily, I could honestly tell her that nothing more than conversation had transpired. I can and have overlooked spelling and grammatical errors, less than flattering photos and other minor issues. None of us are perfect. It's still very amusing to watch the videos.

How many can not speak and not write?? More then you would think--or online they can say anything they think but when you meet they can't really have a good conversation. I think thats part of what makes this interesting -- the unknown when you really meet. Oh yea - thats if you do really meet lol

I can totally relate to what you are talking about. I met someone online earlier this month, and I everything was ok/cool, but to my surprise was I in for a rude awaking. His english grammar was not good at all, run on sentences, misspelled words, just totally a mess, but I over looked that, then the conversation continued, I must to have caught in him at least 4/5 lies but I said well we will see, then a weekend came up because I keep question him, and asking a lot of questions which he never replied back to, then when valentine's day came he dump me faster than a hot pancake. I asked was there anything that I said that might have upset him, he replied no, then he said she just pop up (lied) no one just pop's up, any way I'm back and these are some signs to look out for one listen very carefully to everything that he saids, if his lies add up to more than three then seriously think about what is going on, next look at his english grammar too many mistakes is not acceptable, third if he insults you any time in the conversation thats a third strike, throw him back and find someone else who is worth your time, and honesty.

lol this video is hilarious. How many times have i gone on an online date to be met by Closet Racist", Judgmental Dunce, and everyone's favorite "So insecure he actually insults You". I wish the problem i had on this site were guys who couldn't write a descent profile. The problem i ran into most was guys who COULD write well which belied the creepy crawlies of their true personalities. be leery of well written profiles too. LOL. you never know what's going to come crawling out of the mixed bag of internet suitors. I lucked out and I'm happy to have found someone just as cooky and gorgeous as myself on a less impersonal program. GL everyone, Peace

Oh, JC, I think you'd be fascinated by him. He was devoted- an idealist and a literary artist. He was intelligent, rational, he had self-controlled. He was in love with wisdom. He understood the essential act of the creator was to bring order and clarity. He believed in self-development. He knew the highest function of the human soul is to achieve the vision of the Form of the Good. He was a foremost thinker of his age. He sought unity. He was a man of the world. He believed in psychic harmony-his beliefes were of moral beliefs and principles. He believed an individual is courageous if his or her spirit is courageous and an individual is wise if his or her intellect is wise: He knew people were at the lowest level of state of mind when they allowed emotions to rule over by the intellect. He knew that material possessions and power was not worth having when your soul is ruined. Though he distaste the concept of democracy, he declined to become involved in Republican politics because of known order to excecute numerous democrats—often for no other reason than to confiscate their property (Psychic harmony) And of course, democrats rose up and defeated their oppressors. And democracy was restored :) He was aware that Lust does exist and that it is separate from Love. He knew the foolish misunderstood lust as love. He knew the heavenly love is the type that occurs when two people are attracted to each other with a strong force that goes past the physical appearance- and comes from deep within as if from the soul. He appreciated physical attractions. But the type of love he admired most was that a man and a woman love because of intelligence and virtue. He was the embodiment of Love itself. He was respected and he was the most influential philosophers of all time. His name was, Plato.

That is very interesting. But my Emails are very good and thoughtful and intelligent. I guess the that the women that you have here are just shallow and materialistic, and I think they are not really serious about meeting a good man, and that this is just a game for them.

Hello Browneyes, I will speak for myself, I'm very interested in meeting someone. I'm not about game or materialistic value. I'm a paying member, and I've been on this site for one month. I know my partner and soul mate is out there. I'm a romantic, and a true woman at heart. I wish, you the best, in your search of meeting your partner/soul mate. smiles
